E-Sports Challenge 2020
On the 11th and 12th of December 2020, NTU Sports Club held its first ever E-Sports Challenge. This event was held in collaboration with NTU E-Sports Society (NTUES) to promote the sporting culture within NTU through e-sports.
The event was held in-lieu of our annual Sports Challenge due to the constraints of COVID-19 Phase 2 Safe Management Measures. Special arrangements were made for participants to ensure that Safe Distancing Measures were adhered to. Designated members of the committee were also appointed as Safe Distancing Ambassadors to ensure that all measures were compiled throughout the event.
On the 1st day of the event, FIFA 20 tournament was held in the morning followed by NBA 2K20 tournament in the afternoon. They were held in a round robin format after which the top 2 teams from each group will proceed on to quarter-finals, followed by semi-finals, then finals. All of which were held in a best-of-three format.
On the 2nd day of the event, we held our League of Legends: Wild Rift tournament. They were also held in a round robin format after which the top 2 teams will also proceed to quarter-finals. Quarter and semi-finals were held in a best-of-three format while the finals match was held in a best-of-five format.
